UPDATE: MEETING CANCELED
The Hummelstown Historical Society will hold a meeting on Monday, March 16 at 7 PM in the Parish House chapel on the second floor.The speaker for the evening is Robert Marut portraying a Civil War Surgeon, discussing some of the medicine used during the time period and the soldier’s diet. On display will be a surgeon’s kit, period medical instruments and a Civil War medicine chest.
Robert and his wife have participated in many Living History events throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. Every year the program is performed at the Bloomsburg Fair at the Barton House.
