Girl Scouts 109th Birthday

On March 12, the Girl Scouts will be celebrating its 109th birthday. To celebrate their birthday the Girl Scouts of Hummelstown will have a Girl Scout Uniforms display in the Parish House for the month of March.

As you make your way through the displays you will see how the uniform has changed through the years, from having to wear a long dress and long-sleeves to using no zipper during WWII. Girl Scouts have always kept the girls in the latest fashions.

As part of the history of Hummelstown, we have started to compile a written history of Girl Scouts in Hummelstown. If you were or are a Girl Scout, we would like to hear from you, share your memories and thoughts of your Girl Scouting experiences. Email them to Kathy Pierich nanapapa38@yahoo.com, please include dates, places, and names.

You can visit the display Wednesdays 3:00-7:00pm or the first Saturday of the Month 11:00-2:00pm or you can call 717-566-6314 or Kathy Pierich 717-652-8407 to schedule a tour.

There is no charge for attending the events, but donations to the Parish House are appreciated.
